Hi,
I installed OSCAR on Ubuntu 9.04 using David Danley's instruction and everything worked except that I kept getting some mysql errors (during configuration) along the lines of:
Access denied for user: ‘root@localhost’ (Using password: NO)

However, I got past is by issuing the following command:
sudo mysql -u "some username" -p

A password prompt was prompted and I enterted the password to "some username".
Everything is OK, except that when I login via the browser, I get similar errors as above. I don;t know how to get past this in a web application environment.

“Database connection error: Cannot create PoolableConnectionFactory (Invalid authorization specification, message from server: “Access denied for user ‘root’@'localhost’ (using password: YES)”). Please correct and try again. ”

Any help will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.
